A Critter's Winter
This is my entry for the Godot Wild Jam #84
A Critters Winter:
You are a squirrel and you need to bury nuts for the winter. Watch out for the crows, if they see where you are hiding them, they will surely get the nuts before you need them.
Once it's winter, you need to remember where you buried all the nuts and keep your nourishment meter up.
This is my first game jam and also my very first own game. Comments are very welcome!
Hints:
- If the game feels to hard, check out the accessibility and difficulty options!
- If you think you have enough nuts for the winter, you can proceed to winter early in the pause menu
- Listen to the crow's call, they will tell you, if they can see you (check accessibility options for alternatives)
Controls:
- WASD/Arrow keys/Analogue Stick/D-Pad: Walk around
- Space/A-Button: Bury, Dig and Eat
-Escape/Start: Pause Game
- Please note that for some reason the Y-Axis in the web build can be inverted on some devices/browsers. You can toggle that in the accessibility options
Resources used:
Godot - well duh
Aseprite - to create all the sprites
Kenney Game Assets All-In-1 - for sounds and background tiles

Congratulation on your first game! I was a bit confused initially, but the sound and small prompts really helped! I think there's a bug, in which I always die at 59 seconds, but outside of that it's a pretty well balanced game!
Hope you're proud, and congrats again for joining!
Heya man! congrats on this being your first game :D, I'm glad you could release on the deadline.
I was a bit confused as to how the controls/winter worked at first but I managed to play it properly and I liked it!
Good work, keep it up!
